New Fruit

So this all started with a suggestion to try an Asian Pear that I never had before.
And it turns out they sell it in most of the grocery stores I frequent but I just never noticed them before! Can you imagine?

So this made me realize that the only times I buy new fruits or veggies I haven’t tried before is when I’m abroad, someone recommends them to me, or I need them for a recipe.
But on the reg, I just keep on buying the same fruits & vegetables most of the time, and I even developed kind of blindness to all the other ones. Especially the ones I don’t know how to eat or cook. I just ignore them.
Do you do this as well?

So here’s the challenge: let’s be a bit more mindful and actually look around & pick something new next time we shop for groceries. What do you think?

I got those Asian Pears, dandelion & artichokes this week.

These are the ideas brought up by 100 New Things To Try community:

  • Plantain
  • Okra
  • Kiwi
  • Passion Fruit in sparkling water
  • Parsnips
  • Papaya
  • Fennel

Have you had them yet?
What new vegetables or fruits have you tried recently?
Any suggestions on what to try next?
