NEW THING #66:

GLOBAL PANDEMIC⁣⁣

Obviously, pandemic was never on my list of things I wanted to go through. And I wish we didn't all have to be in this dumpster fire virus situation. ⁣
Nonetheless, it's a new situation we're all trying to navigate these days. ⁣⁣
⁣⁣
And it sucks. ⁣⁣
And it's a lot to take in. ⁣⁣
So let's acknowledge that.⁣⁣

I'm moving through 50 shades of emotions on an hourly basis, and I'm not even an emotional type. ⁣⁣
So if you're feeling all the feelings too, you're not alone. I see you, girl.⁣
⁣⁣
And as my anxiety is going through the roof these days, I bet you're going through something similar. So I started sharing some of the things that help me calm down (check out my story highlights if you haven't seen them).⁣ ⁣
⁣⁣
But I want to share them here too. And I made you a checklist to make it super easy to implement. ⁣⁣

Okay, here we go.

Things that help me manage my anxiety during the pandemic:

  • Moving my body: daily home workout, stretching, going for a short walk. Whatever you can to make up for the movement deficit. It's good for your body & mind.⁣⁣
  • Making my hair look good: I know it's tempting to skip that step at home, but good hair makes you feel smarter & more capable. You've got this!⁣⁣
  • Making my bed: simple things like that give you a sense of control when there are so many things you can't control. It's also an easy win to improve your mood & feel organized.⁣⁣
  • Celebrating little moments of joy: use your fave mug, sit in the sun, listen to music, take a hot bath - whatever to show you that not everything sucks & that there's plenty to be grateful for.⁣⁣
  • Cooking healthy meals: it impacts not only your body but also mood. Don't go through all your quarantine snacks at once & avoid processed food if you can.⁣⁣
  • Staying in touch with family & friends - I know that distances seem bigger these days, and not seeing your fave people whenever you want is frustrating. But checking in on a daily can calm your nerves.⁣⁣

⁣Stay safe! And send me all your pandemic tips! We're in this together.
